ACTIVITIES
Most of our events occur during the day, when at-home mothers most need support! We believe being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so children are welcome at all activities.
Park Days - Several times a month, we all meet at a local park for play and picnic. The moms get to visit and talk while the kids play and have fun. When the weather is too cold or rainy, we meet at the play area at the mall, Gymboree, or a local indoor playground.
Field Trips - Once a month, we have a field trip adventure. We have visited or plan to visit the local fire station, a veterinarian’s office, a water park, a petting zoo, and a museum.
Family Days - Several times a year, we plan an event on a weekend day for the entire family. We have spent or plan to spend the day at a baseball game, Cathedral Caverns, and a working farm.
Moms Nights Out – Once a month, the moms get together in the evening for a night out. We visit a local restaurant, a member’s home, a specialty shop, or have fun at a special event. We have had pool parties and crop nights, we’ve been bowling, and we plan to visit a shop where we will mix our own bath and body products.
Craft Days - We have a craft day once a month for the moms and for the children. The children have painted pottery and made handprint art. The moms work on knitting, crocheting, scrapbooking or anything else we don’t have time for at home.
Meet & Greet/Business Meeting - Once a month, we all meet to discuss our club’s business and to socialize. After our meeting, we all go to a local family-friendly restaurant.
Recipe Swap - Once a month, we meet in a member's home to sample delicious new recipes we all have prepared. Everyone brings recipe cards so we can take home the directions for the dishes we like. Our Recipe Swap themes have been or will be: Kids Friendly & Nutritious, Desserts, Appetizers, and Holiday Side Dishes.
